ENTRY 01 | OCTOBER 11, 2026

June 7, 2026 — The day I became a mother.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget June 7, 2026. The day my life changed forever.

I remember going into the hospital to be induced, knowing I was getting closer to meeting my baby girl. But apparently, my daughter had plans of her own because my water broke. It’s almost like she knew it was her day to make her entrance into the world.

I had so many emotions running through me. I was excited, nervous, scared, and overwhelmed all at once. I couldn’t believe I was really about to become somebody’s mom. Her mom.

I remember wondering if I would be a good mother. Would I know what I was doing? Was I ready for everything that came with motherhood? I had so many questions and fears, but more than anything, I just wanted to finally meet my precious little girl and hold her in my arms.

And then there was labor.

Let me tell you, after three doses of the epidural, when I was finally feeling some relief, I wasn’t in any rush to start pushing! I actually remember telling the doctors, “Wait, I don’t want to push her out yet!” I had finally gotten comfortable after being in so much pain, and I just wanted a little moment to enjoy it.

Looking back, I can laugh about that now.

One thing I’ll never forget is the beautiful nurse who took care of me. She was so kind and stayed by my side the entire time. During one of the most overwhelming moments of my life, having someone so caring there made such a difference. I may never see her again, but I’ll always remember how she made me feel.

And then came the moment I had been waiting for.

I remember the room being filled with doctors and nurses. There was so much happening around me, but all I could think about was my daughter.

I remember crying. I remember watching them clean her up, knowing that in just a few moments, I would finally get to hold the little girl I had been waiting so long to meet.

And then, finally, she was in my arms.

My daughter. My beautiful little girl.

It was such a surreal feeling. After all the nerves, the fear, the excitement, and everything leading up to that day, there she was. The little person who had been growing inside me was finally right in front of me.

I had spent so much time wondering what becoming a mother would feel like, and suddenly, I wasn’t wondering anymore. I was living it.

I didn’t have all the answers. I still had so much to learn. But in that moment, I knew my life had changed forever.

I walked into that hospital preparing to meet my daughter, and I left with a whole new part of myself.

I was somebody’s mom.

And not just anybody’s mom. I was hers.

With love, Mom ♡
